One Potato Review

These striking, even manic illustrations disguise a deadpan sensibility. One of the funniest and most accessible tales of dastardly villainy this reader has ever had the pleasure of foisting on his children: it’s writer, Walsh, has a gift for never talking around children, and its illustrator, Seibold, produces dogs and birds and evil elephants of rare and effortless expression. And maps and catalogues of tools and shapely clouds that look like nothing else around. There’s alchemy here, and it’s timeless. This book will still be great when people are flying around with jet packs.
