An unusually lively mash-up of several familiar storybook characters who nevertheless defy our expectations. Best of all are the hyperactive sheep who end up serving nobody’s purposes without a little herding. This looks like a counting book from the beginning, but there’s a lot going on - around, outside, and despite the central narrative - that makes this entertaining on many levels. Who’s afraid of insomniac wolves?
