Page to page, not the clearest narrative in the world, still that is only fitting in a story told from the perspective of a true believer who sees alien evidence where most people wouldn’t even think to look. Which is kind of the point of this expedition through the barren, kitschy stretches of someplace that looks a little like Nevada: you could stare at the pictures in this book for a very long time and still not feel like you have gotten to the bottom of them.
